What recruiters look for in a remote sales CV

When a recruiter reviews your CV for a remote sales role, they are scanning for three things: can you communicate clearly in English, do you have relevant customer-facing experience, and are you set up to work remotely. Everything on your CV should make those three answers obvious within a few seconds.

Keep the structure simple and clean

A remote sales CV should be one to two pages, written in clear English, and easy to skim. Use a clean, professional layout — no photos-heavy templates or clutter.

  • Header: your name, city and country, email, phone/WhatsApp, and English level.
  • Summary: two or three lines describing who you are and what you offer.
  • Experience: your most relevant roles, with results.
  • Skills: communication, languages, CRM tools, and remote-work essentials.
  • Education and any relevant training or certifications.

Write a summary that sells

Your summary is the most valuable space on the page. In two or three sentences, state your experience, your strongest skills, and what you are looking for. For example: “Bilingual customer service professional with three years of experience supporting international customers by phone and chat. Strong spoken English, comfortable with CRM tools, and fully equipped for remote work. Seeking a remote sales or support role with a US company.”

Show results, not just duties

Anyone can list responsibilities. What stands out is results. Wherever possible, add a number or an outcome to each role.

  • Instead of “handled customer calls,” write “handled 60+ customer calls per day with a 95% satisfaction rating.”
  • Instead of “worked in sales,” write “consistently met monthly sales targets and booked 20+ appointments per week.”
  • If you are new, highlight results from retail, hospitality, or any customer-facing work.

Highlight your remote-work readiness

Because the role is remote, recruiters want to know you are equipped. Add a short line confirming you have a reliable computer, a quality headset, a stable high-speed internet connection, and a quiet workspace. It is a small detail that removes a big question.

A simple template to follow

You do not need a fancy design. A clean document with the sections above, saved as a PDF and named clearly (for example, “Maria-Gomez-CV.pdf”), is exactly what recruiters want. Once your CV is ready, submit it with your application — or send it directly to our recruitment team by email.
